Home Hire
If you are looking to hire a piano, Jaques Samuel Pianos is your ideal destination. All our hire pianos are nearly new, and will be tuned by us at least twice a year, thus keeping them in top condition. Our home hire fleet normally consists of a range of new and nearly new Yamaha and Kawai uprights and Steinway and Yamaha grands. Many other makes are also available.
Hire Terms - Monthly Payment Plan

Prices are inclusive of VAT.
- Pianos are divided into category according to their quality and size
- Payments are made monthly, in advance, by standing order.
- NB - The ‘A’ category for upright pianos is intended for beginners only
What you pay in advance:
- A deposit of £100 for an upright and £200 for a grand
- Transport costs to and from (Prices)
- The first tuning: £60 (and thereafter for each individual tuning)
- The first month’s rental
- The first month’s insurance
Please bring the following items with you when hiring a piano (all financial details can be found on your cheque book):
- Passport
- Bank Account Number
- Bank Sort Code
- Bank Address
NOTE: If you move premises during the hire period, you must have Jaques Samuel Pianos move the instrument to the new location, for which you will be charged.
Purchase Option
If you decide to purchase the piano, your money will not be wasted. Jaques Samuel allows 100% of hire fees (excluding VAT) should you purchase within nine months of renting. This money may also be used towards another instrument. (Not available with any other offer, i.e. S. Ritter)
