Intercollegiate Piano Competition
The Jaques Samuel Pianos Intercollegiate Piano Competition has taken place annually since 1996. The competition is open to all students of the four main London music colleges: Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. The competition was suspended during COVID but shall soon return in 2023.

This documentary was filmed on December 9th 2012 by pianist and author Melanie Spanswick.
The Junior Department Piano Festival took place from 2007 to 2015. The Festival was open to students from the junior departments of the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music, the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Up to 20 students were selected to perform in a concert at Wigmore Hall.
